Justice

“Without justice,  courage is weak.”  -Benjamin Franklin

I could always use a little more courage,  so I was extremely stoked to pick up my pair of next year’s Justice from Black Diamond.  I took a prototype of the Justice to Patagonia this last summer and immediately fell in love with this ski.  At 139-115-125 with a slight bit of rocker in the tip, this ski is ready for anything.  I think this is my favorite all-around ski ever.  I have skied this ski on icy 40 degree slopes and in two feet of pow and they do amazingly well in both.  Finally a one ski quiver!  Well as long as you live in Utah:)

Utah continues to go off!

It has been dumping in Utah and I have been lucky enough to get out in the backcountry with my freeheeling friends at Powderwhore Productions.  Also, Sam Cox is in town and currently kicking SLC in the face as Sam does so nicely and finally Snowbasin ripper JT Robinson has been making frequent trips from his home in Ogden to come shred the Little Cottonwood backcountry.  It’s been quite a week. Sunday we had partly cloudy skis and a deep,  stable snowpack.  Time to go get some steep lines.  Here are some pics from Sunday.

We still need some more snow before this line is in.

not EVERYTHING is filled in yet. Maybe a few more storms before this one goes.

The Big LePowSki

Black Diamond and Backcountry.com are throwing the first annual The Big LePowSki.  With guest appearances by heavy hitters such as Sage and Dav, it should be a jolly good time!  I am running a couple of tele clinics on Saturday,  how to spin a 360 and how to drop a cliff.  Should be fun but I can’t guarantee anything unless you are in my clinic, then maybe some stitches?!
